Driftingashore Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 That's the setup we have - it'll remove the chat icon, and students shouldn't be able to send (or receive) private messages. If a teacher tries to send a chat message to a student it says "the administrator has disabled chat for this user". However, chat in meetings is not disabled. Teams policies are slow to apply - I think ours took just under two days, and that was before this virus business.
ticktock Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 @Driftingashore - that's exactly what I'm after. I'll give it more time. Thanks again.
ticktock Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Two and a half days and the policy has applied! Thanks again @Driftingashore and @forkies for your help, much appreciated.
nathan Posted March 31, 2020 Author Posted March 31, 2020 Two and a half days and the policy has applied! Thanks again @Driftingashore and @forkies for your help, much appreciated. i imagine there's a fair few people doing them at the moment.
tapb Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 That is quite a wait. I was doing some policy updates on Saturday morning and some waiting before they applied. There are a number service adjustments at the moment owing to massively increased demand.
