Jawloms Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 As of yesterday afternoon, I'm seeing the occasional delayed message when sending to yahoo or AOL email addresses. Anyone else seeing this? Onsite Exchange, SchoolsBroadband on Netsweeper, no "Smart Host". Where do I start diagnosing it? live.co.uk/outlook/other microsoft ones seem fine. Thank you Stuart
bald_pig Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 It's most likely to be their end, AOL uses yahoo for their email backend.
Jawloms Posted February 28, 2020 Author Posted February 28, 2020 Wouldn't that mean that more people would be seeing it though?
bald_pig Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 There are articles going back as far as 2006 regarding yahoo delaying deliveries
Jawloms Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 I'm still getting this. I'm not on any blacklists that MXToolbox knows about. Any advice please?
howartp Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 We got hit by this about 6 months ago, after we'd changed our school IP address then sent out a mass parent email. Took about 2-3 weeks before traffic to Yahoo/AOL returned normal. 1

Jawloms Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 @SchoolsBroadband - Anything you think you might be able to do? This is causing us quite some headaches!
SchoolsBroadband Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 We can try contact Yahoo's postmaster. We often find though that these emails go into a big void and we don't get a response.... if you can send me a PM with your IP and school name we can try contact them. Can I suggest you also do the same? Thanks Dave
