Hi All,

As some off you know, i run a large Xbox 360 LAN Event 4 times a year. now after the latest one back in March we are now looking to upgrade our Switch's as there getting old now and some of the ports dont work.

Anyhow, Can anyone recommend any good 16 port 100mbps switches.

would be nice if there designed for LAN Gaming.. :)

Before someon mentions Gbit.. i jump in and say they do not need to be as xbox 360 do not have gbit lan cards ;)

Thanks in Advance..

James.

I am sure something from the Netgear range would suffice. It would be good to have gig between the switches or if you have a lot of these switches one gig switch to be the core. Edited by ChrisH

The NetGear ProSafe FS116 should do the trick. It will cost you about £40 ish. Or the Linksys SD216 which comes in at about £40 as well. The latter is a small form factor one, not rackmount.

Personally, I'd still go with G-Bit, as it gives you the future proofing for the next gen of consoles or if you ever want to use it for anything else.

So I'd stump up the extra £60 and get either the Netgear GS116 or the Linksys SR2016.

I think for what you're using it for, those will do the trick nicely.

You only need to spend a huge amount of cash if you want enterprise features such as management, link aggregation etc.
