At the end of the included Install it just installs a development version of Flash Player 9 (release 29, Flash9b.ocx).

Not only does this break any other version of Flash player installed, You can't remove it using normal methods. I had to use the tool 'uninstall Flash player' from adobe and script it (It run silently.

Then you can re-install the 115 release and everything is hunky dory.

I just wish that it hadn't broken every flash install in the school!

What do you mean by broken?

What does it do?

Have you told 2Simple as they are one company that doesn't like cheesing off their customers and I'm sure they'd stick out a new release in future.

It doesn't work!, Basically, any Flash site reports that Flash Player is not installed. Re-installing the current version doesn't fix this, and the only solution I found was to wipe flash from the clients and re-install it. This method seems to have worked in the most part.

The software is actually quite good, It was just the installing of Flash that is a pain. The version is 2.0.76, dated 03/04/08.

I've informed 2 simple, and given them my notes on fixing the problem.

My annoyance is because this has broken a lot of our online resources for the past few days, and if a user is accessing flash material at the time of the fix it creates various states between fixed and broken!

Hi, I just saw this post and wanted to let you know that our latest 2Animate install no longer includes Flash. Apologies for the problems this caused you in the first place !

This is the most sensible approach because the latest version of Flash can be used. Older versions typically contain security holes! ;)
