Windows - Low on Registry Space

On some of our older machines we have very slow logon, there is an error in the registry:

 

"Windows - Low on Registry Space - The system has reached the maximum size allowed for the system part of the registry. Additional storage requests will be ignored."

 

All the articles re this talk about installing User Profile Hive Cleanup (remember that!?) which now doesn't even install.

We already run delprof.exe to tidy student profiles.

We don't set any limits on registry in GPO.

 

 

Any ideas?

Must be disk space related... or your paging file is broken.
