Guest Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Any recommendations guys? Looking for one that will act as a mouse as well. Cheers
plexer Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Gyromouse but it doesn't have a laser pointer. Ben
Guest Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Anyone used one of these? http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=14417&show=1
RichCowell Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I went for this Targus one, laser pointer, loads of functions, tracker ball, Alt & Tab Switcher, Volume... alsorts
petectid Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Like Rich we went for a Targus Wirless Presenter, find the Laser a bit faint but everything else functions well and over distance, from back of School Hall with Laptop at front. Broke the Battery clip the first time I put batteries in "clumsy" but it was a weak design, though managed to repair it with a small piece of plastic and Araldite.
Guest Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Been offered a good price on one of these: http://www.targus.com/us/drivers_manuals.asp?SKU=AMP02US Will post my thorts once I have had a play Many thanks for the input guys.
crc-ict Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I've got an earlier, slightly less feature-packed version of the Targus one and I find it pretty good. Decent radio range, pretty responsive. I think you'll like it, Sysman!
pete Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 also have the targus ones. Train your users to turn them off when they're finished though, or use rechargeables.
Frazer Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 How do these perform in conjunction with wireless laptops? (Also 2.4GHz) Does it interfere in anyway? Slowness on laptops? @Sysman: where is this 'good price' from?
Guest Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Well the Targus one works like a dream, too well infact. It will control the laptop even when used 2 classrooms away. I am going to take a look at the Trust one now as that has channels that can be manually. But if you only need one then the Targus is great value.
