Distributing Private app to chromebooks

Hi all

 

I'm pretty new at this so bare with me if I've missed anything obvious.

 

I'm helping a primary school who have just bought some chromebooks, I've got an extension from Schools Broadband which I want to force install on all of them, but I'm stuck.

 

I've uploaded the extension and set it to private, but it's currently in draft - I'm assuming I need to publish this however when I try to publish it it tells me to go to the new Google Developer Dashboard and accept the privacy policy. When I follow that link to the new dashboard, I then get an access denied message saying that I need to get an administrator to grant me permission to it. When I look at the apps/services available in GSuite I can't see an obvious developer dashboard that I need to enable/add/allow to let me access it.

 

Am I doing something obviously wrong that I need to do or should I be doing this some other way?

I don't have any Chromebooks so may not be much use, but did you setup G Suite from scratch or did a third part company do it? I remember reading something similar and the third party still had control over parts of the system, which caused a few odd issues.

 

Is the developer dashboard a completely separate system, not actually in Gsuite but a separate site. Does this help - https://developers.google.com/

I setup it up from scratch so I'm using the primary admin account that I registered it with.

 

All I get when I try to publish is the attached which then says I don't have access.

Does this need to be a private app? Wouldn't you use the public app, and then use a configuration file?

The instructions I got from Schools Broadband said to make it a private app, anyway I've tried making it unlisted and still have the same problem.

 

Edit: I don't know what you mean about use the public app and configuration files?

Do you use radius at all for the Chromebooks ? I didn't need any extensions installing

No, no radius server - the Chromebooks only arrived on Monday - I started this all over 2 weeks ago to try and get prepared.
