Apple Lightning PoE Ethernet Adaptor

Installing a couple of fixed iPads (yes in robust mounts) for a Sixth Form and Visitor registration project.

 

Looking for a PoE adaptor that both powers and also offers ethernet so I don't have to worry about WiFi signal strength and as they are fixed locations make sense to hardwire. Plus the locations don't have power sockets nearby so PoE will make it cheaper even factoring in an adaptor cost!

 

Found this which is perfect https://www.poetexas.com/collections/all-products/products/gaf-lightning-p-d but just getting it shipped to UK.

 

Wondered if anyone else has used or got anything recommendations?

I've found cheap PoE power adaptors no problem, plenty, just trying to combine the two.

Thats the one, I assume it supports networking but haven't needed to use that element - will quickly see if I have a spare one around to test

 

Edit: they do support networking(posting via one now). They also do a version with a micro usb end which I've put a microusb to lightening end on but I've found it far better to use a lightening cable connected to the one linked above, many of the mounts are tight with the normal cable let alone anything bigger.

So it does support networking via the USB>Lightning cable or do you need another adaptor like @Brimstone posted?

ah sorry it supports networking via the rj45 tail but only provides power via the usb.
