Ident-A-Kid Visitor management system any good?

I'm not sure where to put this.Our School was contacted by Ident-A-Kid it is a visitor management system that requires parents and visitors to sign in and it does background checks as well. We currently have a system by Lobbyguard that has been very frustrating to use and the support they have is awful. We were possible looking to move to this system. I was wondering if anyone has used this system in schools or has a recommendation on something that is good and reliable.

Not used that system, but we're using Sign In App here. We were using paper copies for visitors up until September and our receptionists like it - we have it setup so that when a guest arrives for certain members of staff, they receive an email telling them so. It's not too bad to setup either, but one of the downsides is that we had to purchase an approved printer; in this case, it was a small Brother label printer. The company seem to be pretty good at supporting it as well.

Not used Ident-A-Kid before. We use InVentry (https://inventry.co.uk/) as our Signin System. Was installed and set up by InVentry all seems to be fine with it. Had to contact support a couple of times and they seem to be good as well.

It certainly doesn't sound like a UK product as submitting background checks on visitors sounds to me like it is not going to have a hope of complying with GDPR.
