Cool things at BETT2020

So whilst having a wander I found these guys Divoom. This is the first year at BETT and they do pixel displays they have frames, table top, young kits with simple controls or app based eg the rucksack as per photos. It's designed to teach kids animation / setups so we'll worth a look.

 

They are also selling these at BETT if anyone is interested and they are making new contacts for looking at selling into schools going forth.

Tech from the Expanse TV show becoming more and more real every day (a kid's backpack showing moving cartoon images).

 

Also, pothos ivy being gown for indoor air filtration - this company are doing classroom-sized aquaponics kits:

Basically a fish tank with a tray of plants on top with the water cycled through the plant tray. Speaking to them at BETT, they have a Raspbery Pi based sensor module on the way which should let you measure things like water temperature and dissolved oxygen levels, giving you some nice data to use for science / ICT / maths lessons.

Another thumbs up for Divoom (stand SP34). Their kit is a lot of fun and the bag (and I'm sure the rest of them too) can store up to 60 frames of animation!

They are also selling these at the show.

All the screens in the shot below are animated as well.

Whilst not a typical 'cool' thing, I've just come by a company whos software allows you to open Smart and Promethean files then transfer them to another format: Hive | Softoffice

Tis the idea For the little ones they have an all in one unit with the programming stuff done alongside a small screen, for the older ones its app based on your phone / tablet etc a really smart idea and we all thought it looked a good product.
