Uber22 Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 Hey All I think we are moving our storage solution to iscsi target witch will require a dedicated 10gb switch, does anyone already have this in place and what witch would you recommend.

Depends on what connectivity you need and how many to be honest. Do you need copper or fiber or copper and fiber etc? Personally i have 2 x Cisco SG500XG-8F8T switches in a stack and connect every iSCSI device to both switches. EDIT: Looks like the 500XG has been replaced by a 550XG, though doesn't look much different in specs Edited January 16, 2020 by mrbios
jslate1980 Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 (edited) I have been looking at replacing my ISCSI san switches recently to move up 10g-base-t. Was suggested 2 x JL075A- Aruba 3810M 16SFP+ 13.5mb shared buffer and 2 x JL081A - Aruba 3810M 10 GbE HPE Smart Rate Module - wasn't cheap and this with modules only provided 8 x 10g-base-t ports. Though I don't need more than this. Edited January 16, 2020 by jslate1980
