MAC+CHROME+DCPRO= NO LOGIN!

Okay, I literally have no idea which forum this needs to go in....

On my Headmaster's Mac Book Pro (which I hate), using Chrome (which I don't use), trying to log into a web portal DCPRO (which I have no access to).

Anyway it's been dumped on my desk to sort out!

The thing is he can log in through Safari, but he likes Chrome...

It seems like he can access the page itself and everything appears ok, then when he logs in the log-in details disappear and he's still on the same page - no error, no loading, no movement at all (I have checked the filtering logs and nothing is being blocked that I can see).

It also seems that he can log-in via Chrome on another (Windows) computer.

Is there anything that would stop it on a Mac in Chrome?

Have you tried it in an Incognito window on the Mac?

This would identify if it is a cookie/temp file/similar issue. If it does work incognito, reset the settings/clear browser data/cache

Also check it is the latest version of chrome, sometimes it can get stuck in a version if not automatically updated in a while.

Thanks, yes I searched Google for a 'safe-mode' and came up with 'Incognito' so I opened an new tab but still no joy I'm afraid.

Will check the Chrome version if I can get a hold of the Mac again (he's in and out of meetings today). Doesn't it do an auto-update like Firefox?.

Also will need to check if it is actually sending the log-in data by trying an incorrect password...

Just to clear this up (as I hate unanswered questions on the 'net)...

I managed to get access to the laptop today (as he had a printing issue), while I was there I started Chrome checking for updates (that's not easy to find is it?)... Anyway, it failed twice with a 'code 12' but started off on the third attempt and then required a restart of the browser - which I left for him to do as he had some websites open.

I also noticed that it appeared to have some sort of warning that he had 'signed out' of Chrome (this was noticed initially and I did tell him to rectify it - but of course he hadn't), so I reminded him again that it might be the issue (some sort of security thing)...

An hour later I passed him in the corridor and he said "Hey, don't worry about that Chrome issue, I've fixed it"...
