MDT Select OU

We are rolling out a new MDT setup here but need to be able to select the OU these machines are added to during deployment. I have seen you can do this through the CustomSettings.ini file but we have close to 100 different OUs so would become very difficult to use cleanly. Anyone doing anything different?

We do this via an XML file in the scripts folder. It creates a drop down list on the litetouch wizard. Can't remember which guide I followed but just googled this:

 

It's worth noting that this only works if the machine is not in AD already. If the machine is already in AD it will stay in the same OU it is currently in when re-imaging.

Do you have a naming convention? you could either use a script in mdt to put them in the right ou or you could runa script on the dc after.

Been looking at some scripts to run in MDT- any you are using?

If you use a database with MDT this can be done easily by setting it against the machine in the settings.
