LGFL just answered for me...

It was like a yoyo all day long.

I first reported it at 11am and told the chap on the phone that if you are indeed aware that it is affecting alot of people then you should post it so that your are not constantly called etc.

 

I did email Jamie asking why it took until late evening for the message.

Sounds like a problem with the proxy server(s).

we had online tests going on and the students ended up abandoning the tests.

Same here. I noticed the issue twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, both times the outage was about a minute, so thankfully it wasn't the end of the world.
