Is there a way to disable specific areas of a user's Google account? I'm talking about when a user signs in to Gmail, clicks on their initial from the top right, clicks on Manage your Google Account and they see the following:

- Home

- Personal Info

- Data & Personalisation

- Security

- People & Sharing

- Payments & Subscriptions

I'll like to be able to disable the following:

- Personal Info > Password

as our passwords are sync'd from AD. Having the ability to do this seems with an AD password linked account seems a little silly?

- Personal Info > About Me > Your Album archive

Is there a way to prevent showing photos with others on the outside world?

- Data & Personalisation > Transfer your content

I've tested this and users are able to transfer their own content to another user without any issues

- Data & Personalisation > Activity Controls > Youtube History

- Data & Personalisation > Download or delete your data

Is it possible to prevent users from doing this?

- Data & Personalisation > Reservations

Prevent users from using Reservations

- Security > Less secure apps

Disable this option for users

- Security > Password Manager

Disable Google from saving passwords for users

- People & Sharing > Location Sharing

Do we really want students and staff sharing their location

- Payments & Subscriptions (ALL)

Should students and staff be able to pay for things via their school / work account via their Google Account? If not, is there a way to disable this?

In Google Admin for an OU you can turn off various services, photos if you want to disable sharing, youtube if you don't want youtube history (or, it turns out the ability to upload videos, sigh)

Have to search for each thing, but it's not often that specific parts can be turned off.

Disable this option for users

Admin > Security > Basic settings > Less secure Apps. From there you can enforce the option and not allow users to manage it for themselves.

Location history can be turned off under Apps > Additional Google services. I've not tested that, but it's probably a start.

Already disabled across the MAT and just tested on Google Maps it seems to not be sharing the location even with GPS turned on.

You don't really lose anything by having this. I don't think that the options here are really 'aware' of GSPS, if that's what you're using to mirror password changes from AD to G Suite, so there's unlikely to be an option to prevent users from changing their own password.

Maybe so but i can see it being another excuse for students not to log in to their emails and also when a student changes their password in AD it's going to cause confusion with students.

Just looked online and not sure if this would work > https://www.gulfinfotech.com/knowledge-base/block-g-suite-user-from-changing-password-their-own/

Another explanation of this: https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/498877-prevent-users-from-changing-their-passwords

Edit: looks like it's not OU specific unfortunately
