I need to make a new diagram of our network as the current ones are very out of date. I have no idea what was used last time so i'm looking for some software to help me with the task. Does anyone know of some software preferabley that you have used that will do this that's is free, i know Visio will do this but we don't have a copy.

Cheers.

I've had a search on the forum and i've seen a recomendation for 3Com Network Supervisor so i'll have a look at that.

I use Paint.Net! It isn't as advanced as the likes of Visio, but it is free.

I scanned in a map of the school and then add various layers in myself with coloured dots denoting network points, switches, etc. This might scale up to get used by our site supervisor to mark fire call points, extinguisher locations, light bulb types, etc.
