timbo343 Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) We have a staff member who when signing in to Outlool on Office365 on any device with any browser gives the error Repeating Redirects Detected. My account on the same machine in the same browser works without any issues. Said member of staff account is able to use word, excel etc online, just not Outlook. Looking online it says make sure the time and date are correct - this doesnt apply as it's happening on multiple devices. Make sure you have ad blocking services disabled - this isn't applicable as it's happening on different devices. The profile the staff member uses is a mandatory profile. This is the only Office365 account in the organisation whoch is doing this. A password reset on the user (sync'd with AD) doesn't fix the issue. If i give myself full access of said user's outlook account im able to access the emails. Any help would be appreciated on this if anyone has seen this before. Edited November 26, 2019 by timbo343
6Foot2 Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Suggestion: Backup all mail contents of 'offending' user to PST file using Outlook and your user (if required, or their own if their mail is accessible using Outlook) Delete, and recreate user. Check the access of their 'new' user through OWA. If OK, restore the backed up mail contents and test access again: Perhaps the problems will have gone, or perhaps you will get an indication as to where the problem lies? HTH.
Sylv3r Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 We've seen it but haven't got a fix as it happens for a small amount of time before resolving itself. We have generally struggled to go directly into the Outlook app but if we goto somewhere like OneDrive then click on the waffle and choose Outlook it loads fine as a shorterm fix before it fixes itself.
timbo343 Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 I've raised the issue with MS to see what they can do from their end. Had a phone call from them within 10 mins of submitting the issue but heard nothing since. Had to create a temp account for the user to use to access their mailbox. Just hope it gets fixed soon.
timbo343 Posted December 2, 2019 Author Posted December 2, 2019 Seems like MS haven't touched the user's mailbox yet the mailbox is now working as it should.
xicor Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 in 2021 we still have this silly issue, I have a user with the same problem.............
