Sibelius 8 Licensing

Hi all,

 

We currently have Sibelius 8 installed on our Windows machines using an activation server. Does anybody know if it is possible to install Sibelius 8 for Mac and use the same licence server? I have also been having trouble getting a mac installer since the box with the download code appears to be long gone, and we only have the Windows installer on our server.

The site licensing do apply for both Windows and Macs, I have no idea how you are going to get the Mac installer though.

As long as your license is current you can download Mac/Windows installers from the my account part of the Avid website.

The problem is the Sibelius software was bought a while back before I started here, nobody seems to have a Sibelius account with the software registred and the original media has long gone. I'm almost tempted to aquire a copy of the Mac software from elsewhere since it will be using our legitimate licences. There doesn't seem to be any way to speak to Sibelius and get access to the sofware without purchasing a code just to access their support. Very frustrating
