ICTDirect_Dave Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 C4 will be a good home for it. Looks like Avalon put the format up for auction & C4 outbid UKTV. There was even talk of BBC1 sniffing around it.
3s-gtech Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Shouldn’t harm it - it’s not like it’ll have to be shortened for ad breaks. The style and feel of the show is already quite a good fit for the type of comedy C4 used to do - a bit more alternative.
CHiLL Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I really hope they don't change it in any way. They did well enough with GBBO keeping the format, despite the obvious requirement of inserting ads. Greg Davies has confirmed he is also returning for the next series on Channel 4. Apparently Alex Horne originally pitched it to Channel 4 and they didn't want it. Obviously UKTV got it and stuck it on Dave...and it became huge. It has to be one of my favourite programmes and some of those tasks would make great party games. Tree Wizard!

Yep, no personnel should change as the production company who sold the rights remains the same. And in this case, Alex & Greg were both happy to move. As for party games, they're great fun. Especially if you've got the book of tasks. at a friend's stag party recently we played rounds of 'Stagmster' over the weekend, which ended in much hilarity!
