Anyone using O365/Sharepoint via HWB for everything ?

As per title, is anyone using HWB, specifically O365 in ernest?

Just seems clunky, I can't see why classess uploaded from Sims aren't created as groups or teams automatically ?

We will be looking to move our shared drives etc up there in the near future and just wondering how well the HWB O365 works compared to MS hosted.

Cheers

AFAICS, The Hwb management dashboard won't give you anything like the required amount of control needed for it to work effectively, at least in a secondary. We use it on students' own devices, and they can connect to it on our own machines, but we haven't integrated into it because the lack of 'true' admin centre will make it very hard to run IMO. We use our own Office365 tenancy rather than Hwbs as we created it before HWB launched, we've kept it as we have full control over the usability of the product rather than just "getting what we're given, and tough".

HWB always do seem to be adding extra permissions so there may come a point in the future where it would be worth reconsidering.

I thought as much, well our LA are pushing (3yr plan) for all schools to be using HWB for email, file storage etc.

Hopefully HWB will give more admin access to make this more manageable as we go forward.

Don't count on it. I'm continually having conversations (and maybe an argument or two) with Hwb about feature requests and they seem uninterested in giving schools any additional control.

I’ve found out from Hwbs tech team that all schools are basically one tennant, so I doubt there’s much chance of more admin access.

I just don’t see how that makes it feasible as a replacement. We’re starting to ramp up our Azure licensing on our tenant - I don’t think Hwb even gives me any Azure controls.

It really isn’t. I wish more people would understand that.

Hwb don’t give any azure controls.

They have added or are adding intune but with limited access / features which makes me a little suspicious.
