[1809, ou] Power Plan GPO doesn't have the same options as the power plan settings on local PC

Hi all,

 

I am trying to change the USB settings in our GPO power plan, it is causing some issues. The issue I have is the power plan settings in GPO doesn't have the option for USB settings so I can't configure it. I've attatched a screenshot to show what I mean

 

 

If anybody can point me in the right direction that would be great

I believe you can only Enable or Disable this GPO.

This should explain how do to it, it needs reg keys as the GPO aren't available for this setting you want.

That seems to work for Windows 7 only, but it did put me in the right directrion. After some surfing and tinkering I have found this command which will disable it within the balanced power plan:

 

powercfg.exe -setacvalueindex 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e 2a737441-1930-4402-8d77-b2bebba308a3 48e6b7a6-50f5-4782-a5d4-53bb8f07e226 0

 

I have set this to run as a startup script and it appears to do the job.

What issue was being caused that you needed to keep USB on when in sleep?
