Streaming Classroom Screen to iPad for Visually Impaired Child

Hi;

 

We are looking for a screen sharing solution for a visually impaired child in our school. Basically what we would like to be able to do is enable the class teacher to easily stream what ever is on the class main screen to a device such as an iPad in front of the child.

 

We are currently a Windows 7 Server / Client school and have several iPads managed using Zulu Desk. The iPads are a mix of iPad Mini 1's limited to ISO 9 and some newer full size iPads (not sure what ISO version.

 

I have looked at Team Viewer which looks good but this give the client full remote access?

 

Any help would be great?

Perhaps videoconferencing software like Zoom would be a better choice. The teacher runs the host and shares their screen (view only), the student opens the "call" URL (or there might be an id that can be entered solely within the app). Being view only, the student should be able to use iOS's screen magnification features in addition to holding it as close to their eyes as they want. With only two participants (teacher and student), Zoom's free tier has no time limit.

 

I assume you mean "iOS" rather than "ISO;" having only iOS 9 will start to be a limiting factor for running apps but ZOOM Cloud Meetings only requires iOS 7 or newer.

We currently use DisplayNote, works well on our ipads and shows the teachers desktop with view only access.

We've used VNC before in view only mode and it has worked well.
