Wave9_Lee Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 If anyone is interested, we have a range of offers for Bham schools to replace the outgoing service, guaranteed smooth transition (using VMB fibre), lower cost higher speeds, better service. We include phones too. drop me a PM or mail if you'd like to know more. You might know we major on Sophos, so you're current endpoint protection will integrate. cheers!
Michael Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Regarding CRISP access.. The CRISP system is not an externally internet facing or secure system and would require significant BCC investment to make it accessible safely to schools. I keep hearing this statement all the time and it's completely bogus. Schools that use HR Portal will know it's externally accessible and secured using an SSL certificate. BCC have made the joint decision to close the BGfL, which means all of its services should be securely accessible from any internet provider. Just ironic that the Crisp URL is still crisp.bgfl.org By that logic the ownership/URL should be changed to something like crisp.birmingham.gov.uk and made secure. It shouldn't even be a question.
