office 2003 on vista laptop

hi guys, one of the admin ladies purchased a laptop for her daughter. vista basic laptop and it had a trial of office 2007. i uninstalled this and installed office 2003. however, she brought the laptop back as it had an error when using office "office application version does not match"

 

anyone know a cure for this?

 

have you had this issue?

This article talks about a similar problem, same error message. It does appear to be a bug.

 

What version of Office 2003 are you using? Help > About. If you're not running SP3 take a look at a guide I've created here

thanks for the reply but i managed to solve it as i posted the problem lol! incase anyone else has this its because business contact manager was installed from 2007 outlook and was conflicting with office 2003.
