We have Adobe 2019 deployed on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC machines.

Recently students have started receiving this message when trying to reopen a previously saved .PSD file.

"Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document"

The files do not seem corrupt.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Luke

Yeap, both - this only happens to some students on some projects but I haven't managed to find any differences.

This is the same on any machine, or if the file is copied to another user they too cannot open.

Adobe are saying they don't support Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC but I can't see how any Windows 10 version would cause this (he says whilst pulling his hair out!)

What are your Windows 10 builds? Is the Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC the common factor? Otherwise it's another nail in the coffin for LTSC it seems when M$ themselves don't seem to want us education folk to use it.

Otherwise it's another reason for .... http://www.edugeek.net/forums/behind-red-door/210680-why-i-hate-windows-10-a.html

You're not running a nuclear power station, so don't use LTSC.

Does a file that's not loading not load on every computer? Do files that work work on every computer? Does a file from a user where it doesn't work work with a different user?

Have you updated Photoshop with RUM. I'm assuming you've allowed the Adobe domains through your filtering unauthenticated. I'm of the view say no to LTSC as Adobe don't support it and Visual Studio isn't supported. You could test on SAC and see if you get the same issues.
