[sims] Restore Overwritten Attendance Marks

I have a bit of a problem. It seems my Halloween fright wasn't ghosts and spiders but someone overwriting three weeks of AM/PM attendance marks for the entire school with an O code!

 

Is there way to get the original codes stored in Edit Reason for Change back into the database without restoring from backup or is it going to be a manual entry job?

Manual entry, I'm afraid.

 

You could bulk update everyone to present, then change the marks for the absentees to cut down on the work, but there's still a lot of work to do.

You could restore from a backup to a temp database, extract the marks and then insert them into the live database. I've had to do this before when someone at the LA restored the wrong backup and overwrote marks.

 

I have the scripts I used to do it if you want them.

Thanks for the help. Office staff have been chipping away at it today to sort things out and the Present bar is slowly going back up on my attendance panel!
