Bev Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 We have had a few ipads update overnight and they are now stuck in a continuous rebooting cycle, I fixed one with a DFU and restore but I've got another with the same symptoms. Anyone else encountered this? Any solutions beyond a DFU?
Zourous Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Just a stab in the dark, but the new ios has ways to setup automation of many tasks in the new shortcut app. Has a student worked out how to continuously restart it?
Bev Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 I don't think so, 2 students had it independently and they both seemed pretty upset that it wasn't working. I'm about to update my iPad so it will be interesting to see if I have problems, although I don't think it's all iPads as we have 100s and only 2 problems so far.
Brimstone Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 This can happen when there is unsufficent space on the iPad to install or the signing for iOS fails due to lack of network access. You can try either; Try and connect it to a cell signal to restore, or you may have to try a DFU a few times
Bev Posted October 11, 2019 Author Posted October 11, 2019 DFU worked but that's interesting about the space, if it happens again I will check that.
