XiJ Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I’ve booked with my bro for his 40th. We’re going in May next year. Can’t wait. And to be fair, we both had a couple of kids now anyway [emoji23]
Sonic007 Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I don't care what they say about it being "safe". I'm not going anywhere near that.
LTurner3692 Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Now im torn! Id love to see it, but just how safe is it?
mikeprice Posted October 3, 2019 Author Posted October 3, 2019 radiation levels as at 2009 are here Radiation levels now | The Chernobyl Gallery seems fine for a short trip - just don't go round licking any dust - especially in the graveyard (they couldn't clear the top soil without disturbing the graves) I would go for a look if I was in the area anyway or on a general tour - but I wouldn't take children if I was staying in the area
Joanne Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I went Chernobyl in February 2018. Radiation levels were less than if you took a flight to the US. The new safe confinement works wonders.
