need help with Dreamweaver

Hi guys, i need some programing help. My brother is making himself a webpage, using dreamweaver, and asked me if knew the programming code for a loggin funktion. As i know nothing of the sort i told him i would do some checking and now here i am:P

 

The thing i need is some info on how to make a loggin funktion with username and password for his webpage (and maybe a register funktion aswell). Preferbly a complete code sequence if anyone knows it. He also said something about it beeing done in php (not sure what he meant that).

 

Anyways, any help would be great.

Yep, you'll definitely need some sort of language like PHP do build this, as plain old HTML can't do it (elegantly at least). You'll probably need a database back-end as well. You might want to investigate pre-built solutions if you've only just heard of PHP.
