Hi all,

We have some NHS welfare trainees working at the school doing student and staff welfare studies. They are bringing in their own printer to use, but I am loath to put it on the network and thus giving them access to the network through their NHS provided devices. I was wondering what the best way to accomplish this was?

Any advice would be great.

Cheers

We had a problem along these lines - I wanted to just connect the to the PaperCut system, but their laptops were obviously locked down and I didn't have admin rights.

I just gave them a USB printer in the medical office which they swapped the cable about from as needed - they were happy as they only needed to print every so often. It wasn't exactly a clean solution, but then again it was only for a few weeks.

Guest wifi?

All people that are going to be in school for an amount of time get their own guest wifi.

We do allow some to print on our MFD's and all costs get charged to the department that booked them.... Well thats how its supposed to work.
