Equitrac - Add a device

We have a printer on site that we need adding to our Equitrac print management. At the moment, users can print to the printer via its IP but is not going through the Equitrac software. Normally, each printer`s IP when you look on the print server has an EQ in front of it to indicate it is a Equitrac port and is picking up the policies applied through Equitrac in terms of balances etc.

 

Is it as easy as adding a physical device through Equitrac Express Manager and finding the details/IP of the printer and adding via the Print Server? We had an external company set everything up for us on site a while ago, but the printer in question is not under any service agreement so we`re looking at this on our own.

 

Is it as simple as I think it is?

On the print server, add the printer using the option for the Equitrac port type, and follow the prompts. That will also add the printer to Equitrac system manager.
