Theldron Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Hi all, I just want to check on what people do. I have inherited a system where all students folders have the Users (\\Server\Users) permission in place, I normally get rid of this as I know it will give other users access to folders is this standard practice? Or should I go about it another way? Cheers
pete Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 We create a "Shares" folder at the drive root, break inheritance and remove the local user permissions. Subsequent shares created within that folder inherit permissions from the "Shares" folder, not the drive. 1
