Office 2016 to Office 2019

Hi all,

 

We're upgrading from Office 2016 to 2019 and in preparation I have imported the new ADMX Group Policy templates into the central store.

 

I noticed that MS says that this templates package applies to 2016/2019 and o365. Does this mean MS are no longer providing separate policies for each new version of Office, and that the existing policies for 2016 will apply equally to 2019?

 

Finally, can anyone recommend/suggest and particular Office 2016/2019 policy settings for a School environment?

Yes, the policies now apply to 2016 and 2019 so you don’t have to do the ridiculous procedure of transferring all of the settings across!

 

Recommended settings - macro control in the Trust Centre, manage your O365 logins (lock it to your org), make sure you have doc recovery working (with save location off the local disk) for when their mate logs them off.
