on-prem exchange to O365

Hi all,

 

What were the main issues people encountered from migrating exchange on-prem to O365?

 

Be interested to hear as I am planning on migrating soon.

Been a while as I did this in about 2014 but the only thing I can remember giving me hassle was when I had half the users on 365 and half on prem, it didn't like a cloud user looking at an on-prem user's calendar (or vice versa) and getting the mail routing right was a bit of a pain. But once we'd finished and got everyone to 365 those problems disappeared.

We had major lag issues accessing O365 mailboxes via Outlook 2010, so after a year of continuous pain, migrated back on-prem again.
