localzuk Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 This looks like a great addition to the product! Looking forward to updating and giving it a try. It can't be any worse than GPP Printer Deployment!
FishCustard Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Intrigued! No real need for it here as all PCs have the same two follow-me print queues, but I do want to try it out in case it might help somewhere else I may end up!
KrisTech Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 I have used PaperCut in the past - Honestly the most efficient and useful print management system to date. Really easy to operate, and manage printers across the network. 1
PotNoodleTech Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 That doesn't happen here. No one can buy their own printer. No one can buy their own ink. All staff and pupils use the MFDs strategically placed around the buildings to pick up their jobs. Papercut allows us to cover 50 rooms with only 11 MFDs in a secure and efficient manner with follow me printing and scanning using Mifare cards and full auditing of departmental printing/copying. I love Papercut, and they just keep making it better! 1
Abaddon Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Loks useful, but agree with AButters. The first thing that goes through my mind is whether they can get a refund for their unauthorised device that isn't plugging into my network. Departments do not buy any hardware without my input, or it doesn't get done. Wish we could say the same for software though - that's a different ball game altogether!
Olliekai Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 My thought process is more 'Why the *censored* did you do that?'
masmith Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 This is a great product but after looking at it from a Multi Academy Trust point of view the version that is included is very basic and need to spend alot of money on the "pro" version to add multiple zones etc
