Morning All,

Managed to wrangle an old 27" iMac Mid 2011 that hasn't been used in a long time, and wondering about bringing it back to life for a personal project. Obviously as it's old it doesn't support anything above High Sierra and Bootcamp isn't supported for Windows 10 (I know you can hack it around)

Just wondering if there's any obvious OSs that work well on older Macs that still get support, and don't require excessive "fixes" to get every bit of hardware working etc :p

Other options I can see are just run HS without updates, try Win10 without Bootcamp, something like CloudReady but seems a waste as the hardware isn't really that bad enough to need it

Thanks,

Steve

Extended support for High Sierra ends in September 2020, so probably worth having for a year.

Ah sweet, didn't realise it was still in extended! Guess that answers that one :p

Many thanks!
