Convert vmware vm's to Hyper V using MVMC

Morning all,

 

I'm about to migrate a load of VM's from VMware to Hyper V (2019) using MVMC.

On some I'm getting the error "conversion of efi based virtual machines is not currently supported".

 

What's the best way to proceed with migrating these please?

I will also now do my own research but thought I'd post on here for advice also.

I've been doing this for the past couple of weeks. I've been using the StarWind V2V converter and it's been working very well.

So far, I've converted in the region of 100 VMs with it, going from VMware ESXi 6, 6.5 or 6.7 to Hyper-V on Windows Server 2019

We migrated using 5Nine EasyConvertor. I think there were issues using MVMC although I can't remember what now.

I looked at the 5Nine converter when I was planning this project. The reason I chose the Starwind one is because that one doesn't need to download the VMDK before conversion whereas the 5Nine one does.

 

Plus the amount of spam I got from 5Nine was beyond annoying.
