Behavioural Management and Prom Points

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help / offer advice on how we could setup a system in SIMS to administer end of year Prom. I have heard a few school doing something similar. The idea would be to award point to pupil for doing something good and removing points when they do something wrong. I think that is fairly straightforward in SIMS but I am struggling with a way of working out how we cancel the points they have lost if they have redeemed themselves by doing detention.

 

Has anyone setup a similar system like this before?

Can't you just use SiMs Behaviour? Then do Positive Points - Negative Points = whether or not they go to prom? there is a way to do it both through the menus and by designing a report. As for redeeming themselves just mark detentions as resolved and filter only the unresolved?

yeah I am sure we just run a SIMS tally of all positive / negative points and those students who are above a certain threshold are eligible for the prom / lower year reward trips

Hi, I have sorted this now but we want to start each pupil off with 20 points. Anyone know if it possible to flood fill a points adjustment?

Bit a bit late to this one so you've probably solved it:

Setup an achievement type worth 20points, then

Focus>behaviour management>maintain achievements

select the students to add it to
