nathan3388 Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Hi just wondering if anyone has come across an open source or free bitlocker software to unlock bitlocker drives on Mac. I am struggling to find any and if we are pushing this across multiple sites I think that it can very expensive for what we need. Has anyone got any suggestions would appreciate it . Thanks Nathan
XiJ Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Macs have had disk encryption built In for a while now. All in the system prefs
nathan3388 Posted July 9, 2019 Author Posted July 9, 2019 Yeah I mean if Usb stick has been encrypted with bitlocker is there free application out there for a mac that can unlock it.
Primus Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Sadly I couldn't find a free program to do this. However I can confirm M3 Bitlocker Loader for Mac does work but obviously costs.
XiJ Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Ah I see. Yep M3 and iSumsoft were what I immediately found but they’re not free.
Fazza Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Macs have had disk encryption built In for a while now. All in the system prefs I believe that is for encrypting the Mac itself and not for unlocking BitLocker devices plugged in to a Mac.
Arthur Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Has anyone got any suggestions would appreciate it The cheapest solution is not to use removable storage.
crof Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 We bought a few licenses for users work between Pcs and Macs. https://www.m3datarecovery.com/bitlocker/
