Kyocera printer defaults: mono duplex

We’ve had Kyocera MFDs in since August had the print driver (pull print) has always been defaulted to Mono Duplex.

 

Two days ago, the driver forgot how to staple - a quick reboot of the copier that Kyocera’s driver searcher was looking at sorted that.

 

However since then, the driver is defaulting to Colour Simplex, and I can’t find a way of persuading it otherwise?

 

It’s set mono on the server, and I’ve saved a new profile with that in, but the new profile doesn’t become active for users unless they choose it.

 

What am I missing?
