Sibelius 7.5, library stored on network, unable to play all instruments

Hi All

Have any of you come across this problem before...

I've got sibelius 7.5.1 installed on windows 10 machines, the sound library is stored on our apps server. So far so good...? Now when I try and play instruments, keyboard and voice seem to play fine, but guitars and percussion just don't make any noise at all, it makes a show of the audio bar jumping in the program, but nothing is coming out of the speakers, any ideas what would cause this?

I get issues with Windows 10 and Sibelius (we're on the latest version of sibelius). It's not necessary the issue you're getting but it might be worth checking what we look for.

 

This might be different for 7.5.1 as we're on 8.3

Open Sibelius, select the Play tab. On the left side you will see Setup with a small arrow (underneath configuration and mixer). Select the small arrow to open Playback Devices. We sometimes mess around with the playback devices to see if that helps. Also on this page, you'll see Audio Engine Options. Click this button and change the Interface drop down box to Primary Sound Driver.

 

Might work, might not. This is the main thing we check when they're are Sibelius sound issues. We have an issue where sound doesn't play on youtube if Sibelius is open.
