elsiegee40 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Yay! No that I haven’t been closely following the tennis all year. The real tennis-bore season for me starts with Roland Garros and finishes with Wimbledon. I tend to have the tv on as background noise instead of the radio for a few weeks.

elsiegee40 Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 We got tickets for Court 1 today. Excellent day out : Serena win, Konta win and the best tennis was Dan Evans match v Joao Sousa which went to 5 sets with the roof closed for the last. Sadly Evans ran out of steam in the final set. 1

mikeprice Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 I have a problem My wife - in her infinite wisdom - has agreed to have the grandkids on Saturday night - returning then Sunday evening Errrr - is there anything else happening on Sunday - perhaps something that she might want to watch??????? sounds like I'm taking the kids out for a walk every 30 mins or so I can ring home and if the match hasn't finished yet we can do another lap of Spike Island her son owes me - big time

No need to interrupt her viewing and annoy her at some critical point in the match

mikeprice Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Wife managed ot watch some of the match yesterday - but we had to stop to calm down tired kids with $randomkidsfilm Then had to take them home and discuss stuff with their Mum So obviously the match was over when we got back Err - went into McDonalds to get food for tea and noticed it was STILL on - 11-11 in the 5 th fastest drive home ever (within speed limit - just) in time to see the tie break What a match!!!!
