Microsoft Team live events

Has anyone used Temas live events https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-live-events/what-are-teams-live-events

 

We have been using a private group on Periscope to strema our assemblies around the school but the video quality has been poor and setup is a bit hard for teachers to tune in.

 

I was thinking of using Teams Live events instead. Was looking at Skype Meeting Broadcast but that requires a $2 /user / year licence. Aparantly the Teams version is free if you have teams licenced in O365.

 

Not usre if I will need to install the full windows client to view the stream and also want to use an iPad as the camera (this works on Periscope obviously).

 

Are there any alternatives that are preferably free and stream can be made private.
