[1803, au] OneDrive Client Issue - Slow load up and then desktop refresh

Hi all,

 

When a user signs on to a new device (local profiles), the OneDrive client takes approx 60 seconds to load up and appear in the system tray and in the file explorer navigation pane.

 

The most frustrating thing is that the entire desktop refreshes and closes any windows the user had open.

 

Has anyone come across this before and have a way to prevent it?

 

OneDrive GPOs being applied:

 

Computer GPOs

 

• Allow syncing OneDrive accounts for only specific organizations - Enabled with the Tenant GUID
  
• Enable OneDrive Files On-Demand - Enabled
  
• Silently configure OneDrive using the primary Windows account - Enabled
  

 

 

User GPOs:

• Coauthoring and in-app sharing for Office files - Enabled
  
• Prevent users from changing the location of their OneDrive folder - Enabled with the Tenants paths
  
• Prevent users from seeing the tutorial in the OneDrive Sign in Experience - Enabled
  
• Prevent users from synchronizing personal OneDrive accounts - Enabled

The explorer restart is a known 'issue' have you installed OneDrive using the /allusers flag? Speeds up the logon no end.

I see.... We are using the client built into Windows 10. We haven't included any separate installation of OneDrive as part of the SCCM deployment...

That works alot better... about half the time to auto load OneDrive from login and SSO the user... still has the explorer refresh but sooner rather than later...
