We are in the situation where our servers are now out of warranty, we were intending to decommission them this summer hols, but now we want to keep running them for another year. Can anyone recommend any third party hardware support companies who would be able to provide next day support for less than the Manufacturers are wanting. It's only a small network, so many of the companies may not be interested. Thanks, Calwyn
HTCPCP Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 I had talked to ParkPlace about an extended warranty on an old server due to fears that the funding stream for a wider server replacement was going to have to be deferred. Didn't actually need to go with them, but when talking to them, I did feel very confident that they knew their stuff. Can't remember how much they wanted, but it was no where near where I thought it might be. 1

I've had it before where schools have bought replacement servers from me that were the same as what they had, simply because it was cheaper to do that and get out warranty than it was to add warranty to their existing machines.
