Neville Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Is there a easy way to give permission to subfolders within the inbox for outlook as I have to give access to another teachers inbox, but she also has loads of subfolders which she has created. I dont fancy going to each indivual folder and set the permission. Thanks.
apeo Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Giving access to the mailbox should give access to the subfolders held within the mailbox.
Neville Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 No It doesn't you only have access to the top level in box and when you click the inbox you don't see the subfolders underneath.
apeo Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Thats odd, i just tested it and it works.. just to clarify: The subfolders are in exchange mailbox and not pst.. How did you give said user access to the mailbox? Are the subfolders inside the Inbox? All i did to give access was, in AD Users and Computers>Properties of Users>Exchange Advance>Mailbox rights
Neville Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 I was doing it from outlook and giving the permissions that way, I will try the way you suggested.
apeo Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Oh right... i find doing it through outlook is just messy, much prefer to go straight to the root and do it that way with most things. Well hope you issue is resolved anyway.
