kennysarmy Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 I have two users and myself who signed up to use Options Online. We set this up over a year ago and used the sign in option "Sign in with Microsoft" - at that time we had not migrated to Office 365 so rightly or wrongly this was done using a "personal" MS account. Now we've migrated our email system over to Office 365 we're unable to sign in to Options Online as it logs us out of our emails. Has anyone managed to rectify such an annoyance?
bobsmith Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 what do you mean by "personal" account - is it the same as your new 365 address? They've got two different microsoft sign-in options - a generic microsoft option and a 365 option - can you not re-invite the accounts? The only issue would be with whoever has your admin account as Crapita will probably have to reinvite that account.
howartp Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Usually when you go to an MS login page, if the email address you enter exists as both a "Personal" address (created prior to O365 existing) and a "Work" address (created through O365 etc) then it asks you which one you're signing in as, then asks for the relevant password. I have both on my school email address, even though we don't actually use O365 but registered all our domains with O365 so I do have access and could login if I chose.
kennysarmy Posted April 26, 2019 Author Posted April 26, 2019 By personal account I mean the lower option... I'm just wary of me doing anything that deletes everything they have done so far in Options.

The data is not linked to your account.

I contacted Capita who said our support was with the LEA! Who will not know what to do....who will then contact Capita!
bobsmith Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Thanks. I contacted Capita who said our support was with the LEA! Who will not know what to do....who will then contact Capita! gotta love Crapita - yes your support may be through your LEA, but they don't have access to Crapita's online services stuff so they'll end up requesting the exact same thing from the exact same people. ho hum.
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 I your SSU has set you up with SIMS ID then they have the power to alter connected accounts like we can, if they/you bypassed SIMS ID and went for the individual signups for each module then yes they'll need Capita's help
bobsmith Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 isn't SIMS ID a paid for service? I'd love my new SSU to be able to handle this for me!
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 The Full SIMS ID is paid for, but SIMS ID Lite comes with your SIMS core license. The only thing the paid for version does which the lite version doesn't is AD integration. See https://id.sims.co.uk/support/ for more details on SIMS ID
