Stop printers installing apps

Does anyone know a way to stop Windows 10 being "helpful" and installing apps for printers? I've got the "disable driver downloads through Windows Update" GPO applied, but the app still installs.

 

Failing that, is there a way to suppress the notification that users get on logging in. It's just irritating! They don't need to be told "go see this printer app!".

Setting this GPO worked for me which stopped the Canon printer app from installing:

 

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System Device Installation > Prevent device metadata retrieval from the Internet > Enabled
