You'll love this... backwards Group Policy!

The other day I noticed a policy for Outlook to turn off Cached Exchange mode, something we don't use and sometimes ends up getting enabled on some users' accounts. Great I thought, control it from here and sorted :D

But... (why is there always a but :p ) it didn't seem to work. Got called out to a user and the box was enabled and greyed out  Went back to double check the policy and "Disable Cached Exchange Mode" was set (enabled). Got on Google and then found this gem...

Re: Disable Cached Exchange Mode Outlook 2007 ??

Microsoft wrote the policy backwards !!!!!

So to turn it off you actually set the policy to on... come on Microsoft sort it out... sometimes Group Policies aren't quite what they seem

don't you think microsoft do everything backwards?, i think its a case of people fit the operating system, heaven forbid that they actally ask anyone using a computer what they want.
