TJ-Diggers Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I'm currently having an issue that when I make a change in the 'Internet Explorer 10 Properties' in GPO and click apply it just crashes. GPO shows it as saving but it just crashes. I have tried to create a new GPO and then create a new IE 10 config setting but the same issue happens. Has anyone ever experience this? Its driving me mad!!!!!
Katy Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 If I do this from my Win 10 PC using the RSAT GP Management tool it hangs when I hit OK (Win 10 1809), worked fine on 1803 and earlier. If I do the same changes logged in to an RDP session to one of the DCs (2012R2 or 2016) it works fine.
ZeroHour Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 The windows 10 1809 crash appears it may have been fixed with today's patch update tuesday (kb4493509): Addresses an issue that causes the Group Policy editor to stop responding when editing a Group Policy Object (GPO) that contains Group Policy Preferences (GPP) for Internet Explorer 10 Internet settings https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4493509/windows-10-update-kb4493509 1
sigma Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 OTOH, kb4493509 seems to be causing a lot of problems: https://borncity.com/win/2019/04/12/windows-10-v1809-slow-down-with-update-kb4493509 https://windowsreport.com/kb4493509-bugs/
